Nathan Slattery was born in Crosshaven Cork, Ireland. He received a classical education in Latin, Irish, French, Civics, and Music at Christian Brothers College. His first introduction to acting was through school. Upon leaving school early at age 18 he received a short lived position in the Irish Navy followed by sponsorship as an Auto Engineer with CAB Motor Co. He also modeled with Proco Model Agency.
